And she blew her sixtieth birthday cake

Lao and i waited for this day, to see mom blow her sixtieth chocolate birthday cake. we dreamed of it, we worked for it and yesterday she did blow her big cake! 

So how are you today? i am totally tired and sleepy. but that doesnt mean i wont tell you what happened last night. Mom was totally cool! and she rock! i love that all of our relatives come over and celebrate with us. i did cry thanking all of them. Yes, i didnt invite the whole wide world we choose to invite only the people who are there for us and who love us unconditionally. 

That's how the place look like yesterday and definitely it's not inside our home. It is where all the tracks and corn are stored and kept. Yes we turn the dryer into a hall and it's pretty cool.

Lao and i always pray to god to give mom more extra life. she is the center of our world and my relatives knows how much we are going to sacrifice for mom. Everyone knows she cant move and walk that fast but that doesnt hinder mom from doing all the things she love and she never fail to give love in return. Im so happy that she is sixty! im so happy she is there for me and lao! im so happy seeing her that happy! im so happy that half of her siblings went home to celebrate with us. 

and so i am writing this entry not only to tell the world that i am happy my mom is sixty but to thank everyone present and those who didnt make it but joyfully cheer and pray for us our sincerest love and respect to all of you.

Mom I love how you don't interrupt me when I'm speaking. You give me chance to explain my side and you majestically taught me how to defend my ground. All my life survival skills Im happy and will be forever grateful that I learned them all from you. That picture reminds me that somehow i have to learn to face the crowds. its hard to talk with the microphone but yesterday i made it. it's my first time talking to a large crowd. i did cry in that pix. i told them to continuously pray for our family and i thank them too for loving me, lao and mom. I thank them for coming and giving us time yesterday  and that no apt words can describe how lucky i am to belong in this family. that i will love them until i can. and i hope so that even if papa and tars arent with us anymore that they may remember all the traits they have and continue to love them. I thank them too for taking care of our family when i cant make it on time to be home and i do hope they understand me on the days i cant be with them.  Mom, I love the way you inspired me and lao. You always taught us that if we will not be able to see things clearly then there is something wrong with our eyes and we need to see a doctor.

these are the bunch of boys in our mom's life. mom love them very much. they all look really handsome and they grow really fast.they are all our nephews and they live in our neighborhood. everyday after school they all kiss to mom and mom is really happy with that. they all play soccer and mom really loves watching them play.

the perks of having an extended family

in our world where everything is uncertain i have always live life the way i wanted it.  I make sure i spent my days in the arms of those who love me unconditionally. the year was pretty tough but i am happy we made it through.

among all days christmas season is my favorite. it is the time where i get to see everyone in my bloodline. it is the time the three of us can spend our entire days talking nonsense. and we love nonsense!

this christmas even though it was raining mad i am happy that you spend all the dinner with us. we never get tired of preparing foods, wrapped gifts and washed dishes. knowing that you will all be delighted with the food we have in our table of which you consider as yours we make sure everyone of you eat and full.

Thank you angela and kim for being always there for lade. in times i cant be home for dinner with lade you always spend your time with her. you open your home for us and we are happy to spend our free time with you too.

To ate loida and family, thank you for taking care of mom and me specially in times i cant understand myself. you never fail to check me and mom if we are really ok. your concern and love for us is great and thank you wouldnt be enough for that.

Dudoi thank you for being there for me and lao when we need you the most. a great life means having a family where members love and respect each other and it doesnt mean you all belong in one bloodline you can find a family even in a strange way and with the strangers and i guess this christmas we have all the love in the world. i am lucky to experience such pure love from all of you rest assured that all our love will be yours until we can. I never thought that she will come and visit me and lao and mom yesterday because Christmas is long over and I told mom that I guess she’s not coming anymore but she did and my heart leap and my face turns red super red and hot. I feel the sudden burst of emotions and I really can’t say anything seeing her setting in our dining table with all the gifts she have for us. When ate janet came in and of which I am used too she told me that she is with father choi and another priest. Since I am that busy preparing our food for New Year’s Eve I told her to please come in the door is open and I just have to wash my hands. I never look back of which I don’t know why I just proceed to the washroom. Washing off the dirt and knowing that it is father choi I have to keep my hands clean and put on lotions because it is impolite if I wont bless his hands. Ate janet then asked me when is ate joie going to visit us I told her it is surprise and I continue to wash my hands and dry them off then I move to the kitchen and that’s how shock I was and I scream!  I really love the way she laugh back at me that I almost die laughing too much! I love surprises and I told her about that and long ago I asked her when is she going to visit me and lao she told me that its all up to me. I did tell her she can come anytime she wants, our home is open up to twelve midnight and she can come by surprise and she said I see you then. Not knowing she will do it yesterday this surprise visit is the coolest and great ever and now I know how does ate joie surprise visit feels like. Demoralized and heart leaping but good thing she never captured that extraordinary moment!

I even instructed ate bunso in details all the things she has to prepare if ever were not home for the surprise visit from the brand of bread we will serve her up to the tissue and soda and she laugh when she reads it for it is still posted on the fridge door. Mom asked me to print her photos to have the idea how she looks like and I made this.

Although we’ve been friends for a year now yesterday was the very first time lao and mom met her and just like me lao first meet mariae her car long before she meet her for real but my brother sometimes says hi’s and hellos, often read all my viber messages for her, sometimes like her post on facebook using my account and was really used to her name. He knows ate joie by name but he got no idea how she looks like.

I have been praying for this friendship to grow more each day since I meet her for real and often wishes in the church during Sundays and lao often laugh too much about it that he and mom will love ate joie the way they love dudoi and I hope that if she will visit us one day she will love our home too and she told me she did!

Today we went with her to Iriga to visit dudoi’s mom and dad of which we love dearly. I also asked her to pick us up at the mall. She drives carefully and now I know how it is like to ride with mariae. It was a great adventure I ever believed would happen today for she shares with us her true life experiences that I listen very carefully even though I didn’t behave like that but in my mind and in my heart I did listen and if she doesn’t stop I will tell her to stop because it was so heart and eye sniffing and a two hundred percent different of what I presume about her life. All I know is that she loves mama mary and she is far richer than anybody and I never ever thought about that and learning so I admire and love her more.

God heavens I think yesterday and today I have all the love in the world from a very dear friend who is so pure, wonderful, gorgeous and generous. Thank you Jesus for the blessings of an extended family, for letting me befriends with her and that I say thank you too I have the best New Year!

Saint Joseph we thank you for helping us build our home a happy one. we thank you for teaching us to work as you did, with patience and perseverance, for God and for those whom he has given us to support. For teaching us to see in our fellow workers the Christ who desires to be in them, that we may always be charitable and forbearing towards all. We thank you too for giving us enough food in our table throughout the year.

a day with mom

just like your mom, mine is as cool as ever. i love her very much and shes the best thing since peanut butter for me. i can tell her everything i wanted. i can ask her anything.  i grew up not knowing if she will be home on weekend and we can have our lunch together or she can tell me about peter pan and how the grinch stole christmas. she used to travel and work for the government. it was when i went to senior high school when my siblings and i get the chance to spend all the nights with her but even so she works so far away and never make it home at night, she loves me and lao and tarz. she makes sure i eat and drink and i did my assignment and all forms of praying. my mom and aboeji calls me vicoy and i love it when she does. 

mom is retiring in february 2015 and i love it very much for that means i will have her time in the whole wide world. for even so we shared the same office her department is too far away. for the past years we seldom eat lunch together. i havent got the chance to spend all my lunch with her and everytime i got the chance too it is always very quick. and i dont have most of my time too specially at night.

today i get the chance to spend the whole day with her. we stay at home. eat our breakfast and lunch and have dinner together. we watch cartoons and eat popcorns and we do a lot of selfie. she comb my hair. colored my nails and we talk everything. she is glad when i told her about my plans and she said that i can always count on her.

a day spent with mom feels like heaven. yes im too old to long for her everyday but i love it when she does. mom always check me at night and turn off my lights too. she used to check if my perfume smells is great for me or my shirt fits me. she doesnt want me to wear pants before but when she learned about my work she lets me and i love it when she paid for all my jeans. i so love you mom and thank you for all the love you have given me until now. but one thing is for sure mom just paid for all my tickets this summer and it will be fun for sure. thats the same as telling that santa is real!
